Lt General and Mrs. Gould were the featured guests at a dinner in St. Louis, hosted April 29, by the Boeing Company. General Gould spoke about the future of character and leadership development at the U.S. Air Force Academy, highlighting the importance of the newly expanded Center for Character and Leadership Development, which will begin construction in 2012.
Most notably, General Gould presented Sandy and Priscilla McDonnell with a carved falcon sculpture as a small token of appreciation for their recent major commitment to the Center. This $1.5 million gift to the Academy comes as
part of a lifetime of dedication to character education.
He also expressed his appreciation to Boeing for hosting the dinner at the Boeing Leadership Center, and for the company's support of leadership development and engineering programs at the Academy.
