Gifts to the Air Force Academy Fund at the Sabre Society level help to provide the best possible resources to support the Academy, its cadets, and the graduate community. These contributions also ensure that the Endowment and the AOG continue to successfully fulfill their missions in support of the Academy.
Lieutenant Colonel Thomas Allison, Class of 1989, shares why he chooses to give back to the Academy through his Sabre Society gift:
"My family and I have decided to make a commitment to support the Academy through the Sabre Society for two main reasons. First, as an Academy graduate, the Sabre Society provides the opportunity to give back to the institution that helped guide me into a career in the military which has been incredibly rewarding for me and my family. Secondly, it enables us to help enrich the cadet experience by providing opportunities beyond what is supported by basic government funding.
As future officers, graduating cadets will be immersed in an extremely complex world. I believe it is vital for all of us, especially graduates, to step up as donors to help ensure our cadets' success. Sabre Society is an easy way to start giving back."
Record levels of support in the past year from donors like Lieutenant Colonel Allison have enabled the Endowment to give significantly more unrestricted funding to the Academy, helping to meet many critical needs.
